Carl Linnaeus Hammarby, south of Uppsala, was his summer residence. Here he had his own garden, a complement to the Uppsala University Botanical Garden in the city. Only one of the trees he planted here is still alive. It is an apple tree (Malus baccata) to the right grown from seed collected in Siberia. It probably dates back to the 1760's.
